Welcome to our new location at Dr. Black Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery in Metairie, LA! Our reception area was designed with your comfort in mind. When you schedule an initial evaluation with either Dr. Elliott Black or Dr. Summer Black we ask that you make yourself comfortable in our reception area, fill out your initial paperwork and health history worksheets, and return it to our friendly Receptionist.  We will do our best to stay on schedule for your appointment.  In the event that we have an unanticipated emergency causing you to have a longer wait time, we will notify you as soon as possible and we will reschedule another convenient time for you at your request.

A vital part of our service is being available for your emergency needs.  Don't hesitate to call, and please explain your problem to our receptionist, who will arrange an immediate appointment for you.  After hours, you can reach the surgeon by calling Physician’s Exchange at 504-883-8900.  The operator on duty will relay your message to the doctor, who will return your call.  In case of emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

We have 5 beautifully decorated consultation rooms at Dr. Black Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, and all discussions are completely confidential.  Dr. Black will ask personal questions about why you want surgery, and will try to get to know you better. This is a great time to get to know them as well.  Don't be afraid to ask questions about techniques and other strategies to get the results you want!

Your consultation appointment is your time to ask Dr. Black questions, voice your concerns, share your aesthetic goals, and discuss your health history.  All the information gathered at this session will help guide Dr. Black in making a treatment plan based specifically on your needs.

We do offer nonsurgical treatments and procedures in our office in Metairie, LA. You can make an appointment at our office for procedures like mole removals, torn earlobe repairs, and scar revisions.
